Tarang 2007

Hi all !!!
Its my first blog out here...am not used to writing blogs....so, please bear with me for the same...

I'll just start up with a brief on the recent "Gala Night" and "Tarang" Indian fest at Northeastern Univ, Boston, MA where I hav come to pursue my Masters in CS...

Tarang was an absolutely gr8 experience...I am not at all an extrovert kind-a person, but this time, I wanted to participate in an event such as this, where you are representing your country with lots of other international students participating in it...

The show started with the NU's Rock band performance, a solo dance and a few individuals singing their favorite songs...Then, came the Indo-Western Fashion show, followed by Garba, Kohli Dance and Punjabi Bhangra..The event was entirely a mixture of the entire Indian culture...and was amazing to see lots of students participating in it...Finally, the last event was the Bollywood Group dance( where I too performed ;) ) ... though, I ain't a good dancer...but learnt in a few days...It was a big hit...and the crowd's response was awesome...We all loved the way public reacted which made us all perform really well...

At the latter part of the function, dinner was served and then, in the end, DJ Nite !!! We danced crazily for around 2 hrs continuously, and all I could say is HAts Off to Sanskruti ...who organisd such an event....It really asked for a gr8 amount of effort in putting up the whole event, especially with Midterms round the corner....

One thing I learned is that Being in US, you tend to become more patriotic, coz U miss your country a lot....I miss my country a lot ...
